According to news reports, Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the NIH’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, not only had a personal meeting February 11, 2020, with UNC Chapel Hill professor Ralph Baric, but had it marked on his calendar.
Baric, who researches viruses, later discussed the meeting with a colleague, Matt Frieman, telling him how he and Fauci had discussed man-made virus combinations, the outbreak and chimeras.
Even so, when Fauci was called to testify November 23, 2022, on the origins of SARS-CoV-2, he swore under oath he’d never met Baric in person. When questioned, Fauci backpedaled just a little.
“I don’t recall. I could have met him. I run into several thousands of scientists that we refer to, but I don’t recall, certainly, having a relationship with him,” Fauci responded.
